Party No More

All this planning for my 18th birthday celebration is causing stress more than school and boredom. So, I've settled that I won't be having a party on my birthday. We, that is my family and I, would have a simple dinner somewhere. Now that's a lovely thought!

I haven't exactly told it to my Mum. I do not know what will here reaction be. After all, she's the one who's making a fuss about my coming-of-age. My Dad perfectly agrees with me and even offered the idea of giving me the money that should be used for my supposed party.

Sorry guys, no big celebration. I'll just treat you on my birthday.

The Magical Touch of Harry Potter

(reblogged from my Live Journal blog site)

After ages, I've finally finished reading the Harry Potter Series. I was brought to tears after reading the whole thing. Pathetic, I know! I usually get carried away with things close to my heart. And I've got say, Harry Potter sure did pave his way. Well, it was through Harry Potter that I learned how to read, in the lengthy sense, of course. I remember, I made a book report about The Prisoner of Azkaban back in fourth grade and got high marks. Ha!

When my Dad got home from the States, he bought me the first three books of Harry Potter. Like, that was 10 years ago, I reckon. I was halfway through The Chamber of Secrets when my sister discovered that I was reading it and she confiscated it. You see, she and my brother were against reading Harry Potter because it's about magic and it's contradicting God. Young as I were, I really didn't understand their point. I didn't talk to them for days because they won't give it back. I found out where my sister hid the book and I got it. I finished it in secrecy. Ha ha.
